Installing SmartNotch

SmartNotch is not distributed through the Mac App Store.
Follow these steps to open it safely.

Open the downloaded file

Double-click SmartNotch.dmg. A window opens showing the app and an Applications folder shortcut.

Drag the app to Applications

Drag SmartNotch.app onto the Applications shortcut in the same window.

Right-click the app and choose Open

Right-click (or Control-click) SmartNotch.app in your Applications folder and select Open from the menu. Do not double-click — that won't give you the option to proceed.

Click "Open" in the security dialog

macOS will warn you that the app isn't from the App Store. Click Open to confirm. You only need to do this once.

"SmartNotch" can't be opened from an unidentified developer. Do you want to open it anyway? Cancel Open
That's it. SmartNotch will appear as an overlay on your notch. Hover over it to open the panel — music controls, timers, and system stats are all one hover away.
